Announcement for Family Involvement Grants

The Maryland Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) announces the opportunity to apply for a Family Involvement Grant. Six grants each in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded to schools who wish to create and implement programs and activities that encourage families to become more involved in school and their children’s education. Please review the guidelines listed:

  • The money must be used for a project(s) that will involve as many families from the school community as possible.
  • The project should have a direct impact on students.
  • The project should be completed by April 30, 2008.
  • The application must include a budget page outlining how the money will be utilized.
  • The recipients are expected to share the results of their project with the MAESP membership with a poster display at the Spring Principals Conference in Ocean City.
  • Application are due by February 15, 2008, to be faxed to 410-313-5508, submitted electronically to Jayne_Diggs @hcpss.org, or mailed to Lisbon ES, 15901 Frederick Road, Woodbine, MD 21797.
  • Awards will be made by March 1, 2008.
